I am a pianist with 13 years teaching experience. I have a B.A. in Music from Bethel College, North Newton, KS where I also took piano pedagogy classes.
I am a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and I am trained in the Suzuki method and philosophy.
I resonate with Dr. Suzuki's idea that music lessons should not only teach the skill and enjoyment of music, but that they should also create people with beautiful hearts. I want my students to gain the ability to understand, create, and enjoy music for their lifetime. I also want them to experience the joy of disciplined work leading to great accomplishments, and to know that they can achieve this kind of outcome in any area of their life.
